Ostrich Weekly Forecast: Feb 17
A late look at February's minor holidays.

I forgot to look up February's minor holidays, and now I'm chagrined to have missed National Weatherperson's Day on the 5th, which explains a put-off attitude on the part of our forecaster. On the plus side, we missed National Toothache Day, too. I can wait till next year for National Tater Tot Day, but National Pizza Day is a blow. There's also the matter of National Freedom Day, which sailed by on the 1st, and probably, in retrospect, deserved our attention.
Today is National Cabbage Day. National Muffin Day and National Cherry Pie Day share a holiday, naturally, on the 20th. Next week seems nice, with festivals for margaritas (22nd), banana bread (23rd), tortilla chips (24th), clam chowder (25th), fairy tales and pistachios (26th). But then, since we all need more fodder for our sense of impending doom, we close out the month with National Toast Day, National Polar Bear Day, and Insomnia Awareness Day, all on the 27th. National Tooth Fairy Day, National Public Sleeping Day, and National Rare Disease Day fall on the 28th. Best of luck.
