If you thought the holidays were over, be advised that our weatherman has issued a Holiday Aftershock Warning. Fear not—holiday aftershocks don't usually cause much damage. They'll pass soon enough, and while they're here they present an opportunity. You can spend your holiday aftershock enjoying the Yule you should have had, or applying your lessons before you forget them.

Did an idle conversation at your friend's friend's party remind you of an unmet wish—a hobby, a job, a place you've wanted to visit? Plans made during an aftershock are well known to be lucky. Or were you were secretly disappointed that some small item failed to show up in wrapping paper? In a holiday aftershock, it's traditional to buy gifts for yourself! Or did your Thanksgiving turkey come out dry, and you made a mental note to try a new method next year? You know you'll forget. Better get another turkey and set the table.
